Cinnamon Swirl Loaf

This cinnamon swirl loaf is incredibly soft, rich, and packed with warm cinnamon flavor in every slice. With a tender crumb and loads of cinnamon throughout, it’s as stunning as it is delicious. Simple to make and impossible to resist, this is the kind of loaf you’ll bake once and crave forever.

Cinnamon Swirl Loaf

Ingredients

1/2 cup Sugar

1 tablespoon Cinnamon


2 cups Flour

1 cup Sugar

1 teaspoon Baking Powder

1/2 teaspoon Salt

1 1/4 cups Buttermilk

1 teaspoon Vanilla

1 Egg, slightly beaten

1/4 cup Oil

Instructions

Combine the first 2 ingredients and set aside.


Combine the next 8 ingredients in the order given, stirring just until moistened.

In a greased loaf pan, spread half of the batter and sprinkle with half of cinnamon-sugar.

Repeat.

Swirl with a knife.

Bake at 350F for 45-50 minutes.

Cool 10 minutes and remove from pan.


Optional Glaze:

1/4 cup Icing Sugar with 2 teaspoons Milk, drizzle on after removing from pan, and still a bit warm.

Note: Two loaves will take about 70 minutes.
