French Bread

This easy French bread has a crisp, golden crust and a soft, airy interior that’s perfect for any meal. Ingredients
1 cup Flour
1 1/2 tablespoons Yeast
1 1/2 cups warm Water
1 tablespoon Honey
1 1/2 teaspoons Salt
2 1/2 - 3 1/2 cups Flour
Instructions
Combine first 2 ingredients.
Knead until it holds together and is no longer sticky.
Form into a loaf shape and place on a parchment papered cookie sheet.
Cover and let rest for 15 minutes, while the oven is warming up to 400F/205C.
Slash slits in the top and bake for about 20 minutes.
For variation try adding cinnamon and raisins; or garlic and rosemary (and/or cheese).
Garlic/rosemary: 1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder, 3/4 – 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder, 1 1/2 teaspoons Rosemary Add these to the dry.
Flatten dough, cover with cheese and roll up into a loaf shape.
